On 15 September, a partnership agreement was officially signed in Savoie. The signatories are AREA, APRR's Rhône-Alpes subsidiary, SFTRF (Société Française du Tunnel Routier du Fréjus), the Syndicat du Pays de Maurienne and HYmpulsion, which aims to develop the hydrogen mobility market with the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.
Support for green hydrogen
The project partners are committed to supporting companies in the conversion of their vehicle fleets to hydrogen and to offering tariffs adapted to heavy vehicles running on hydrogen.
HYmpulsion is committed to providing access to hydrogen at a fixed price until 2032 on its network, i.e. 20 renewable hydrogen refuelling stations and 3 electrolysers by the end of 2024.
The partnership provides for the deployment of at least 30 hydrogen-powered trucks by 2025 in this geographical area.
The desire to go further towards less carbon-intensive energies
Guillaume Hérent, Managing Director of APRR-AREA, is delighted: "In addition to the installation of electric recharging stations at all our service areas by 2022, this project reflects our desire to go further by committing ourselves to the decarbonisation of heavy goods vehicles and, more generally, to the renewal of vehicles in favour of less carbon-intensive energies".

APRR has been involved in this project for a year and has now made a formal commitment with HYmpulsion company and three other partners.
