20 associations share the eight floors of the building, each with their own office. No fewer than 200 employees will be working closely to provide young people with access to education, culture, sport and employment.
There are organisations that work in the field of integration through culture as well as associations that help young people in their search for an internship, with choosing their career options, with their job search, with their business creation projects and also their public speaking skills and taking part in volunteering initiatives, and finally there is even an association that provides support for debt problems.
The idea originated with Benjamin Blavier, co-chairman of Article 1, the aim being to facilitate collaboration and innovation, and raise the profile of equal opportunities. Two months after Ascenseur was launched, new partnerships have already been forged between the various associations.
