Four projects presented by Eiffage were selected by the Ministry of Ecological Transition out of “116 exemplary regional demonstrators”.
The following projects were selected:
- "Les Résidences de la Pévèle" passive low-carbon nursing home in Cysoing (Nord)
- Hypérion tower in Bordeaux (Gironde)
- Hesta emergency accommodation centre, a modular solution created using recycled shipping containers (B3 Ecodesign) in Périgueux (Dordogne)
- Smartseille 1 eco-neighbourhood in Marseille (Bouches-du-Rhône)
As part of the “Habiter la France de demain” initiative, around a hundred sustainable city demonstrators have been identified by the Ministry of Ecological and Inclusive Transition, in order to highlight “successful and easily replicated projects that combine quality and sustainability”.
These demonstrator projects shine a light on French expertise with regard to projects that have strong environmental, social and creative ambitions. Like the Athens Charter in its time, the Manifesto of France Ville Durable aims to bring together public and private stakeholders in the various French regions around four key issues: sober energy use, resilience, inclusion and creativity.
