In Normandy, Eiffage Construction & Savare bring together experts & architects to discuss timber construction

Construction Division

Our teams in Normandy brought together experts, partners and architects for "Wood Meetings". The aim? To exchange ideas between designers and builders on the evolution of low-carbon construction, which involves the wood sector in particular. This event was an opportunity to present our industrialised solutions such as our subsidiary Savare, our wood construction-expert subsidiary, the reasons for choosing wood as a material and how to integrate it into an operation. The day was a real success and is fully in line with the Eiffage Group's low-carbon approach in our business lines.

A real opportunity for exchange, these "Rencontres Bois" are one of the initiatives set up by our teams that once again demonstrate our commitment to timber construction.

Our employees from Eiffage Construction, Eiffage Immobilier and Savare, our subsidiary with expertise in timber construction, welcomed some fifteen architects from Upper Normandy to the Domaine d'Harcourt (27). The location lent itself well to the subject: a guided tour of the exceptional arboretum was organised at the end of the day as a nod to the dry sector.

Throughout the day, the interventions and round-table discussions were aimed at :
- Thinking together to build sustainably,
- Create a stronger local proximity for the future,
- To make our partners aware of our solutions for sustainable construction, in particular through our Savare products, and to show them that we can support them from the project design phase.

The start-up TechnoCarbon, which we support, also took part in the event to present its high performance low carbon materials.

The day ended with a speech by Olivier Genis, Chairman of Eiffage Construction, who reminded the audience how this type of event is part of the Eiffage Group's ambitious environmental approach, how, as a city builder, we offer solutions and expertise in favour of low-carbon development, and that it is together that we will succeed in developing the sustainable city of tomorrow.

Thank you to all those involved in the organisation of this day and to the participants!
