The work-study programme offered by Eiffage Énergie Systèmes and its partners aims to recruit and train a group of site supervisors specializing in high-voltage lines, to meet the strong market growth linked to energy transition. "In a tight job market, where we are unable to recruit enough qualified site managers, we have set up a diploma-based recruitment and training programme with multiple partners. The programme plans to train eight temporary workers as HV overhead network installers, then as HV line site managers, through two successive professional training contracts," explained Operations Manager Christopher Selvanadin.
The training programme is intended for job seekers, recipients of minimum social benefits and people who are changing careers or seeking new challenges. It is conducted in two stages:
August 2025 to February 2026 : 210 hours of training in the HV overhead network installation profession
February to September 2026: 458.5 hours of training in the job of high-voltage line site manager
According to Christopher Selvanadin, "this project addresses a major strategic challenge for Eiffage Énergie Systèmes: anticipating skills needs in a context of strong growth in the energy transmission market, linked to energy transition and carbon neutrality objectives. It also illustrates our commitment to training, inclusion, and supporting talent. This new class will be joined in the second part of the programme by high-potential members of our current workforce, in order to train them for the role of site manager. This will create a dynamic between newcomers and experienced high voltage line workers”.
During their training, work-study students will receive dual mentoring. For the operational part, they will be introduced in pairs to the various techniques involved in constructing high-voltage lines, safety, team management, and technical and economic worksite monitoring by Eiffage Énergie Systèmes, while follow-up mentoring will be provided by our specialist partner (as a whole group).
