The operation took 41 hours to complete. Fifty people were needed to install this 56-tonne structure, 21 metres long by 4.5 metres wide. The rail bridge's steel structure was built in Eiffage Metal’s Lauterbourg workshops and transported by special convoy. The bridge was then raised with the help of a 700-tonne telescopic crane mounted on stabilizing piles to compensate for road camber of around 1.5 metres, deployed in the town centre.
Congratulations to Eiffage Génie Civil Ile-de-France's teams on this great achievement!
