The first 100% « low-carbon » rails have been laid on the common section of the future lines 16 and 17

A new milestone forward ! The first 100% « low-carbon » rails have been laid in the tunnel linking the Finot structure at Saint-Ouen and Saint-Denis Pleyel station.

This stage marks the start of a new phase of work: the fitting out of the tunnel with rail.

- 100% « low-carbon » rail ;
- 14 kilometres of double track laid ;
- Manufacturing in more economical electric arc furnaces ;
- 95% recycled steel used ;
- 4,100 tonnes of rail, i.e. around 6,000 tonnes of CO2 equivalent avoided.

We are very proud to be involved in this major project, and we thank the Société du Grand Paris for its confidence.
