The CEPIJE parish youth centre in the 14th arrondissement of Paris works to support non-violence and the prevention of anti-social behaviour in local priority areas. It works with 300 young people from the ages of 12 to 25, and supports 35 of them with their employment access plans.
The centre enables young people to launch individual or group projects, particularly in the fields of sports, humanitarian action and multimedia. Following a request by some of the members, an internet radio station was set up in July 2016. Twenty young people are involved in making a weekly programme, during which they express their views on news, local events, etc. As a result, they are improving their written and oral skills (writing the text, diction, public speaking, etc.)
The Eiffage Foundation provided funding to buy the internet radio equipment.
Patrick-Charles Franqueville, human resources director at the Infrastructures division, is supporting the project.
