The Mobilité pour l'Emploi association aims to help people on integration schemes return to work, by solving their mobility issues. Among those people, one person out of two has had to refuse a job or training scheme due to mobility issues. Thanks to its inclusive driving school, 80 people pass their driving test every year, and 50% of these go on to stable employment or further education.
With financial support from the Eiffage Foundation, the association is planning to buy an electric car with an automatic gearbox, to train people who have very little contact with driving. The automatic gearbox helps reduce the length of training necessary and keeps the cost down for participants. The objective is to use this car to train 15 to 20 people per year.
Catherine Delpierre-Braun, employment technician at Clemessy is supporting the project.
