Since 1990, the Vay Théâtre association has been organising outdoor sound and light shows in the village of Vay, located between Nantes and Rennes (Loire-Atlantique).
For summer 2017, the association is preparing a show depicting the history of the canal between Nantes and Brest, with the help of 400 volunteers. The project promotes cohesion in rural areas, but also professional integration through partnerships with local associations. 18 disabled workers at the Vay ESAT (assistance and service centre helping disabled people into work) are helping to produce the sets and costumes for the show, with the support of the Eiffage Foundation.
Christophe Deschamps, works and services site supervisor, and Bernard Deschamps, retired site supervisor, both at Eiffage Construction, are supporting the project.
