The emission of 133 tons of CO2 was avoided thanks to an Eiffage Route Centre-Est solution provided to its customer for in-place reprocessing of a road via the association of the ARM 2500 and the new road process RECYTAL®.
The ARM 2500 re-uses the materials of the initial pavement to regenerate it, and the RECYTAL® process, developed in 2016, makes possible the replacement of concrete, in the asphalt mixture, with an emulsion of pitch, a vegetable binder from wood industry. This is the first large-scale test for this innovative association.
To remain competitive, Eiffage Route Centre-Est requested funding from the E-FACE internal fund. This fund specifically finances the cost differential between a classical solution / technique and a less carbon-emissive alternative, allowing the reduction of the carbon footprint of a project without impacting Eiffage competitiveness in the calls for tender.
Do not hesitate to propose your own low-carbon alternatives to the E-FACE fund !
