Infrastructures, biodiversity and landscape : Eiffage will take part to the Ittecop’s seminar on October 19th and 20th

How to improve relationships between infrastructures, biodiversity and landscape? How to seize the opportunities, for the development and accessibility of territories, of a transport infrastructure construction while protecting the nature ?

To face those environmental and societal challenges, the private actors of the CILB (French Club dedicated to Linear Infrastructures and Biodiversity) decided to join energies and knowledges with the ministry of Ecological Transition, the Ademe and the Foundation for Biodiversity research (FRB), in order to progress in the active consideration of the biodiversity in territorial projects.

This pioneer collaboration between public and private actors permitted to launch, in 2014, a research call for tender in the frame of the Ittecop program (Terrestrial transport infrastructures, ecosystems and landscape), driven by the ex-ministry of Environment. After the 2014 success, the CILB companies (ASFA, Eiffage, Enedis, GRTgaz, Lisea, RTE, SNCF Réseau, TIGF, VNF) got engaged in a research new call for tender in 2017, investing around 700 000€.

On the 19th  and 20th of October 2017, a major seminar will take place,  gathering researchers and decision-makers, the infrastructures community and the biodiversity community, for the presentation of the results of the 2014 session and the launch of the 2017 projects.
