In September 2016, the Réserve association opened a recycling centre in the rural area of Trièves, 40 km south of Grenoble (Isère). It collects items that would normally be scrapped and recycles them to sell in its low-cost shop, thus contributing to the circular economy. It is the only work integration project in the area. Growing fast, it already employs four job-seekers and the goal is to rapidly increase this to eight. The association has developed direct links with the various stakeholders in the area.
To meet the growth of its activities, the recycling centre is moving to larger premises with a 300 sq. metre shop. The Eiffage Foundation is supporting the project (purchase of a collection vehicle), with the help of Hélène Delmas Depaquy, environmental engineer at the Sustainable development and transverse innovation department.
