The civil engineering works to cover 110 m (representing 3,200 m²) of the 2 x 2 lanes crossing the Angevin city were recently completed.

Eiffage Génie Civil’s teams mobilized major human and material resources to cover the road, working both day and night. The operation is part of the Cœur de Maine project driven by the city’s urban planning policy which seeks to bring inhabitants back to the river.

Work is in progress on the future tram line bridge, known as the Arts et Métiers Bridge, located close to the covered highway. The bridge is scheduled for completion at the end of the first half of 2019.
