The cutting wheel of the first of the two tunnel boring machines that will dig the T2B lot of line 15 South of the Grand Paris Express has arrived on the site of the future Créteil L'Échat station.

About a hundred more convoys will be needed to transport the entire machine, built in Herrenknecht's workshops in Germany. Gradually assembled in Créteil, the tunnel boring machine will leave in 2019 to join Champigny-sur-Marne. Between the two, he will dig 4.2 km of tunnel, between 25 and 50 m deep, and lay some 2,100 rings made up of 7 segments each that will constitute the tunnel.

It should be recalled that the T2B lot of line 15 South, built for « Société du Grand Paris » as a consortium by Eiffage Génie Civil and Razel-Bec, includes the construction of more than 7 km of tunnel and the construction of three stations.
