Summer work begins on RER E

Infrastructures Division

On Eole, the E line of the RER, the renovation and modernisation of Parisian stations has begun in Haussmann - Saint-Lazare and Magenta.

At Magenta station, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, our teams are on site to raise the tracks and catenaries by 20 cm to allow the arrival of new trains. The latter, which are more modern, will also improve user comfort. They will also be able to travel at 80 km/h compared to the current 60 km/h. For Eiffage Rail's teams, this is a real technical challenge, complicated by the installation of prefabricated reinforcement slabs and the necessary supply of concrete to the site from the surface to a depth of 40 m.
Between Magenta and Haussmann - Saint-Lazare stations, work is in progress to renew a switchgear. Finally, at Haussmann - Saint-Lazare station, additional work has begun on the opening of the future tunnel.

Eiffage Rail's teams, in a consortium with TSO and TSO catenaries, representing more than 70 men in the field, will be present on site for 6 weeks, alongside their client and partner SNCF Réseau.
