Lyon-Confluence: Eiffage Civil Engineering on the Field

Infrastructures Division

The Local Public Company Lyon Confluence has assigned our local teams to manage the land as part of the preparatory work for the "Le Champ" project.

Le Champ is one of the last development sectors of Lyon Confluence. The objective is to transform it into a vast wooded area - many trees will be planted on the 5.5 hectares of the project - inhabited which will host creative industries, housing, offices, facilities and public spaces .

After many years of industrial and commercial activities, the aim was to restore the soil's fertility to become the new green lung of Lyon Confluence. Our experts thus proceeded to the demolition of the structures, the earthworks, the management of the impacted land up to 2 m deep, the containment of the underlying land and the partial filling of the site.

The works, which were carried out under the supervision of EODD Consulting Engineers, mobilized about fifteen employees for two months.

Eiffage Génie Civil is very proud to have contributed its expertise to this project, a true demonstration of sustainable cities.
