Biodivercity®Construction label: the Pierre-Berger campus is recognized

This is an important distinction: the Pierre-Berger campus has been awarded the Biodivercity®Construction label, which rewards all the efforts made to promote and integrate biodiversity.

The creation and maintenance efforts carried out since the opening have made it possible to move from a "poor" site in ecological greeting to a site with very high ecological potential, a sign of a noticeable enrichment of the reception of biodiversity.

In fact, the campus has many advantages:

* Varied environments: tree-filled environment, meadows, hedgerows, horticultural massifs, dells;

* 147 plant species planted or sown;

* 70% local plants

* 91 trees of large development;

* 2500 m² of green roof meadows;

* Apiaries;

* Eco-pasture;

* An innovative system of vegetated geogrids for very steep embankments;

* Ecological management of the site with acceptance of spontaneous flora and integration of biodiversity.

As a reminder, the Biodivercity® Construction label is the first international label to take into account biodiversity in real estate construction and renovation projects, in the design phase.

The label is endorsed by the International Biodiversity & Property Council (IBPC), of which Eiffage is a member and which is part of its action program under the National Strategy for Biodiversity. Its aim is to promote best practices in urban biodiversity during the programming, design and construction phases of the built environment, in France and around the world.

The label evaluates and displays the ecological performance of buildings around four major axes: • Axes 1 and 2 focus respectively on the commitment and the means implemented, • Axes 3 and 4 focus on the evaluation of ecological benefits and benefits for users.

After labeling of eco-neighborhood Smartseille, this new success confirms the Group’s commitment to promote and integrate biodiversity in its real estate operations.

At the same time, the Group has submitted the LaVallée eco-neighborhood in Chatenay-Malabry as a pilot project for the new Biodivercity® Ready label, which in turn concerns the development phase.
