In 2007, the Eiffage Group launched the first edition of the Eiffage Millau Viaduct Race, followed by three subsequent editions in 2012, 2014 and 2016.
These races were organised jointly with a local partner that chose to withdraw from the event in 2016.
Eiffage, its subsidiaries and local authorities wanted to make the race a regular biennial event. Following a call for tenders, they have selected Eco Trail Organisation to be the sports event organiser for the 2018 edition.
