Eiffage Énergie at work burying networks in the Oise department

Eiffage Énergie’s teams have been entrusted with undergrounding the La Chapelle en Serval networks as part of a purchase order tender, under the supervision of the Oise department’s Syndicat d’Electrification.

Our teams began by carrying out 1,500 linear metres of earthworks in order to bury the new low-voltage power and telecommunications networks, together with the local street lighting network.

During the second phase of the project, they went on to recover 75 low-voltage connections and 100 existing telecom connections to supply the new underground network. At the same time, 30 LED lighting poles were fitted to renovate the public lighting system.

The last phase involved dismantling around 3,500 linear metres of cables from the former overhead network which until now included the low-voltage, telecom and public lighting networks. The works schedule had to reckon with heavy pressure from traffic, since the site runs alongside a road used by 20,000 vehicles a day on average. Road crossings were thus carried out using directional drilling to avoid impeding traffic.

The works were undertaken in cooperation with Eiffage Route, between 17 July 2016 and the end of January 2017.
