Located on the Castellane inner city estate in Marseille, the Saint-Henri technical college trains young people in the construction trades in particular. In partnership with the Pachapalli association, which organises solidarity projects around the world, the school is sending 12 young people to Senegal to take part in renovation works at the Toubacouta maternity ward, thus combining on-site technical training with cultural experience.
The project is part of a genuine partnership initiative: in addition to support from the Eiffage Foundation, Eiffage Construction and Eiffage Sénégal regional offices are also providing financial support.
Seynabou Wade, QSE manager at Eiffage Sénégal, is overseeing the successful completion of the work at Toubacouta, while Pierre N Gaye, foreman at Eiffage Construction Provence, is involved in the project at the technical college.
