Production and Storage in Senegal

A major first for Senegal!

In the north of the country, RMT is handling the turnkey construction of a 16 MWp photovoltaic power plant on behalf of Walo Storage.

Its unique features?

The presence of solar trackers and a battery energy storage system (BESS) with a capacity of 26 MWh.

"The photovoltaic energy produced can thus be stored and distributed during peak consumption periods," highlights Olivier Brécourt, project manager. "The frequency regulation service will also contribute to stabilizing Senegal's electrical grid and that of the sub-region."

Thanks to this innovation, Eiffage Énergie Systèmes is positioning itself in a promising sector in Africa.
