Saint-Honoré Market: a highly technical rehabilitation project carried out in the heart of Paris

In the 1st arrondissement of Paris, our teams delivered the Marché Saint-Honoré, an 18,000 m² office complex located on Place du Marché Saint-Honoré. Undertaken by Eiffage Construction as general contractor, one of the challenges of this project was its dense and partially occupied urban environment.

Carried out between September 2023 and March 2026, the project followed an ambitious schedule within a particularly constrained and partially occupied environment. The coordination of work and the management of disruptions were central to the project's success.

This project stands out for its strong architectural value, notably the restoration of the famous "Glass Temple" designed by Ricardo Bofill and reimagined by Philippe Chiambaretta. Beyond the rehabilitation, the project redefines the site's uses: originally intended to house the headquarters of iconic clients, the complex now accommodates local shops, welcoming spaces open to the outside, optimized connectivity throughout the entire development, and high-end services tailored to users' expectations, for a unique experience.

The restructuring incorporates innovative solutions aimed at improving the comfort, performance and sustainability of the building, including:

•    Full-height glazing allowing for ample natural light;
•    Automated management systems for individualized spaces via a dedicated building mobile application allowing users to take ownership of work areas;
•    Fluid recovery and reuse devices to ensure complete energy performance.

The project incorporates an ambitious reuse approach, repurposing numerous existing elements: marble from the staircases for works of art, metal facade elements, locksmithing components, and decorative lighting fixtures. This concrete approach aims to reduce the construction site's environmental footprint.

It has achieved several benchmark certifications: WELL V2 Core Silver, BREEAM Excellent, HQE Excellent, WiredScore Gold and SmartScore Silver.

This project is also underway, with more than 5% of hours dedicated to professional integration.

A huge congratulations to all the teams for the success of this project combining heritage preservation and a constrained urban environment!
