On Saturday 17 June, the mayor of Toulouse and president of Toulouse Urban Area Jean-Luc Moudenc inaugurated the Gardens of the Line: a landscaped trail transporting walkers back to the countries flown over by pioneering aviation companies Latécoère and Aéropostale whose line linked Toulouse and Santiago de Chile between the wars.
The Toulouse branches of Eiffage Génie Civil, La Forézienne and Eiffage Route built these gardens, paving the way for the new Toulouse Aerospace district, a major project.
