Eiffage Route completes the full transformation of the Corniche du Cros in Six-Fours-les-Plages (83)

After nine months of work, our Eiffage Route teams have completed the full redevelopment of the Corniche du Cros, an iconic seaside promenade. This major project enhances the quality of life, safety, and environmental performance of the site.

This major renovation has modernized and beautified the promenade through several key features:

  • A widened promenade with the creation of a 900 m² wooden boardwalk, part of which is cantilevered over the beach.
  • A new two-way cycle path using light-colored asphalt, which helps to reduce urban heat islands.
  • Secured and upgraded roadways and pedestrian paths.
  • A redesigned car park with improved accessibility for people with reduced mobility.
  • A re-vegetated promenade featuring newly created planters and trees.

Our teams deployed their expertise across all road and utility works (VRD), including: demolition, earthworks, reinforcement of the sea wall, creation of the stormwater drainage system, installation of 2 km of kerbs, and the application of various surfacing materials (asphalt, sand-finished concrete, wooden boardwalk).

The project also stands out for its sustainable features, notably the creation of a runoff water collection system. This water is systematically treated by a silt and grease separator before being discharged into the sea, thereby preserving the coastal water quality.

Congratulations to our teams for this achievement!
