In Cergy, a new generation leisure center is about to open its doors

The old leisure center from the 1970s will be replaced by a completely redesigned facility that is more spacious, more functional, and resolutely forward-looking. This new building, spanning over 1,100 m², has been designed to offer children a welcoming, comfortable, and environmentally efficient environment.

As the lead contractor for the design-build consortium, Eiffage Construction managed the project until its delivery.

The project, overseen by our off-site teams, is distinguished by its demanding design, which prioritizes the simplicity and performance of its materials. Wood plays a central role, with a structure composed of timber-frame walls insulated with straw and bio-sourced roof panels. In total, more than 100 m³ of wood, supplied by Savare, was used. On the roof, a green roof terrace and photovoltaic panels enhance energy efficiency while promoting biodiversity.

Designed to meet the needs of children and supervisory teams, the facility offers a wide variety of spaces: modular activity rooms, dormitory, multipurpose room, catering, library, teaching kitchen or even an art workshop.

The building's architecture asserts a simple and natural identity, perfectly integrated into its environment. Wooden cladding, slate roofing, exposed beams, and wooden joinery all contribute to creating bright and calming spaces.

Certified BBC and already compliant with the requirements of RE2028, this leisure center is significantly ahead of current standards, with almost six years of anticipation of environmental regulations!

The center is now ready to accommodate up to 200 children soon.
A huge congratulations to our teams for the success of this exemplary project.
