“ Since we were relocating anyway, we developed an ambitious, frugal and attractive project, a demonstration of low carbon ,” emphasizes Greg Dubois, Picardy regional director of Eiffage Immobilier. “ We designed a 100% Eiffage low-carbon project, in synergy with Eiffage Routes and Eiffage Énergie Systèmes ,” adds Gaëlle Robert, lead site manager.
After 13 months of work, the building now accommodates between 40 and 50 employees on site as well as about twenty in flex office.
A project with significant environmental implications: the new headquarters exceeds the 2028 targets of the RE2020 regulation, with a 33% reduction in carbon emissions compared to a conventional building. It makes extensive use of decarbonized, bio-based, recycled, and reused materials: 100% of the furniture, flooring, carpeting, doors, and sanitary fixtures are reused.
The building also produces some of its own energy needs through:
• Geothermal drilling ,
• panels .
An educational trail within the building has been created to explain and promote the site's low-carbon approach.
On the site, Eiffage Construction is conducting an innovative experiment in partnership with the startup Mycophyto .
Objective: To strengthen biodiversity and restore soil vitality through mycorrhizae, microscopic fungi that boost plant nutrition and root development. Expected benefits:
• Improved rooting,
• Return of biological life to the soil,
• Improved resistance to water stress.
This approach complements the overall strategy of the project: to design a sustainable headquarters, right down to the treatment of the soil.
Designed by and for the teams, with employees involved from decoration to layout of the premises, the headquarters offers bright and modular spaces adapted to new uses, including: a catering area, meeting rooms and relaxation areas with a terrace and a pétanque court.
A big congratulations to the teams for the completion of this project: a concrete example of what an eco-responsible, efficient and user-centric office building can be!
