For the past 70 years, EATP (from the French for school of public works trades), based at Égletons in the Corrèze region, has been training professionals in the public works sector.
The class of 2017, tagged the Pierre Berger Promotion in honour of Eiffage’s former President and CEO, has 433 students including 218 at EATP (full-time education) and 215 trainees and apprentices at EFIATP (work-study schemes).
After a presentation of Eiffage at Égletons on 26 January 2017, all the full-time students were invited to visit a construction site on 14 March. Some of the students, invited by teams from Eiffage Route Sud-Ouest, were able to visit construction works at the esplanade in front of the Saint-Jean train station in Bordeaux (Gironde). Others were invited by teams from Eiffage Civil Engineering Saint-Etienne and Eiffage Civil Engineering Rhône-Alpes to see construction works on the junction between the A6 and A89 motorways north of Lyon (Rhône) and the Confluence car park in the heart of the city.
The EATP / EFIATP class of 2017 graduation ceremony will take place on 20 May at Égletons and will be attended by the students’ families and representatives from the school, the FNTP (French public works trade federation) and Eiffage, including Benoît de Ruffray.
