Eiffage Aménagement delivers the infrastructure of the Îlot du Ponant, a new district in Le Plessis-Robinson (92)

Eiffage Aménagement announces the completion of the main infrastructure works for “Îlot du Ponant,” an urban redevelopment project in the Noveos sector of Le Plessis-Robinson. This milestone marks the achievement of a complex development project: the transformation by Eiffage Aménagement of a former industrial brownfield into a benchmark residential neighbourhood.

The Îlot du Ponant embodies Eiffage Aménagement’s vision of urban renewal: creating a high-quality living environment by densifying the existing urban fabric while giving long-term functional value back to underused spaces. The project comprises around 700 housing units over 49,000 m² of floor area, spread across 6 private lots, and includes 7,945 m² of landscaped outdoor and public spaces, including the ornamental basin.

A structuring landscape serving the living environment
At the heart of this development lies a 3,900 m² ornamental basin, the project’s signature element. Beyond its landscape function, this body of water illustrates Eiffage Aménagement’s environmental engineering: it collects and manages rainwater from public spaces and private lots. Its design, featuring depth levels reaching up to 3 metres, aims to create a rich and diversified ecosystem, actively contributing to local biodiversity and to the thermal regulation of the site.
The landscaping received particular attention. A varied plant palette—tree groves, hedgerows, flowering melliferous beds, bank vegetation—was selected for its local compatibility and non-allergenic nature, encouraging the development of small fauna and offering distinct vegetated atmospheres. This approach, guided by ecological principles, contributes to a unified landscape and a reasoned management of green spaces.

Soft mobility and noble materials: the foundations of a sustainable neighbourhood
The heart of the Îlot du Ponant is entirely pedestrian, with wooden footbridges and two bridges crossing the basin. This design reduces noise and visual pollution, significantly improving the residents’ living environment. The outdoor spaces rely on a selection of high-quality materials known for their weather resistance and longevity. Pedestrian pathways are made of Indian sandstone pavers and exposed-aggregate concrete, while the bridges incorporate “Fleur de Pommier” bricks, Comblanchien stone, and reconstructed stone elements such as STONEMIX, ensuring durable aesthetic coherence and harmonious integration into the project’s landscape.

“The Îlot du Ponant is a perfect illustration of our expertise,” says Delphine Bouttier, Operations Director at Eiffage Aménagement. “We transformed a technical and environmental challenge into an opportunity to create an emblematic neighbourhood, where aesthetics, nature and quality of life blend harmoniously. This project is a source of pride and confirms our commitment to building the city of tomorrow—more sustainable and more human.”
