Solidarauto solidarity garages promote mobility for people facing economic hardship and offer the sale or repair of vehicles at solidarity prices. And there is a real need for this type of initiative: in France, almost one in two people on employment access schemes have had to refuse a job offer due to mobility issues.
The Eiffage Foundation is supporting the expansion of the Solidarauto model over a period of three years, with the creation of a national federation and the launch of three new solidarity garages in Clermont-Ferrand, Tours and Tarbes. Funding will go towards the investment required to open each garage.
Jean Carré, a retired Eiffage employee and former Chairman of the Foundation, is supporting the project.
