Eiffage Route supporting sustainable mobility for the Voies Lyonnaises project in Oullins-Pierre-Bénite (69)

The Voies Lyonnaises are being redesigned to provide secure and adapted routes for decarbonized modes of transport.

In a dense urban environment our Eiffage Route teams are deploying their expertise to carry out a full-width redevelopment including a landscaped two-way cycle path of over 2.6 km along the Boulevard de l’Europe in Oullins-Pierre-Bénite.

Launched in autumn 2024 the redevelopment of this section of the L3 – the longest of the 12 lines in this cycle network – began with preparatory work and the demolition of existing roadways and sidewalks.

The high-quality works are continuing with the creation and modification of wet and dry utility networks the installation of pavement structures curbs and gutters followed by the application of surfacing and the installation of street furniture and signage.

The main challenge of this project lies in ensuring traffic continuity A challenge largely met by our teams as only the laying of asphalt on the 12-branch Mûriers roundabout required us to interrupt traffic for a brief high-intensity 36-hour operation!

Congratulations to our teams mobilized on this project!
