As part of the 2020/2030 Schools Plan, the City of Olivet has entrusted Eiffage Construction with the construction of a new school complex to replace the existing facilities in Val. Located on the site of a former plant nursery, the project aims to expand capacity and improve learning conditions, from nursery to elementary school.
The facility will also include shared spaces, a school cafeteria, after-school care, and a multipurpose room that will allow associations and residents to be received outside of school hours, thus strengthening the link with the neighborhood.
From an environmental perspective, the project aims for the level 1 bio-based label and anticipates the July 2027 threshold of the APER law, thanks to:
• Partially vegetated roofs equipped with self-consumption photovoltaic panels;
• Geothermal energy from groundwater for heating and geocooling for cooling;
• The use of bio-based materials and low-carbon solutions (timber frame, natural insulation, low-carbon concrete, etc.).
An approach that makes it possible to reconcile energy performance, user comfort and a reduced carbon footprint.
The project also includes structuring urban developments: creation of a new road, a cycle path and public parking, contributing to improving the mobility of local residents.
Finally, the operation provides for a significant volume of integration hours and a strong mobilization of local companies, actively participating in the economic dynamism of the territory.
begin at the end of 2026 and delivery at the end of March 2028, for a start of classes in September 2028.
A huge congratulations to our teams for this new project!
