Volunteer Day – celebrating the Eiffage Foundation

Grupa Eiffage

On Volunteer Day, we celebrate the Eiffage Foundation. Run by Group employees since its formation in 2008, the Foundation helps charity projects of general interest linked to social employment with their investment needs.

The Eiffage Foundation’s missions

The Eiffage Foundation’s missions are to:

  • Support social employment for young people and those in difficult situations.
  • Support our employees’ commitment to solidarity.
  • Act in the heart of the regions.

The foundation supports projects that directly promote access to employment or training for vulnerable individuals. It shines in France and internationally, wherever the Group is established.

Group employees are the pillars of our Foundation

The commitment of past and present Group employees is the pillar the Foundation rests on – it can only operate with their support. Their efforts take two tangible forms: the Foundation supports associations in which employees are already involved. Alternatively, employees are encouraged to become volunteers for a Foundation partner association, mentoring students with Article 1 or contributing to re-engage young people facing school dropout with the Réseau Etincell.

Around 350 current and retired employees are involved as sponsors.

Focus on new projects funded by the Foundation:

  • The equitable farm in the Lacoste eco-community: social employment in short-loop organic market gardening in Tarnos (Landes)
  • L’Amandier: combining climbing and social employment for young people in priority districts in Toulouse
  • Toit à moi: accommodation and support for people in vulnerable situations in Lille
  • Azurite: training courses for women and other people excluded from employment, in a community restaurant and grocery store in Bayonne
  • L’Ecole de la deuxième chance: creating comprehensive, coordinated routes into training and employment in Ayonnax
  • ESS des Herbes Folles: equitable economy hub providing training for marginalised people in building and reusing resources.
  • Sport dans la Ville: helping local young people find work through sport in Mone-en-Baroeul
  • Être mobile c’est permis: mobility solutions for vulnerable people in priority districts in Toulouse
