In the heart of the town of Gournay-en-Bray, a new 4,000m2 preschool and primary school, with construction entrusted to Eiffage Construction, is taking shape. This ambitious project, a model of energy efficiency, stands out for its environmental commitment and architecture designed to minimize the urban impact of the building in its surroundings, particularly through a wooden frame façade built by Savare.

The project aims to consolidate the Prévert and Curie nursery schools along with the Georges Brassens primary school into a single school complex in Gournay-en-Bray.

Beyond the necessary modernization of educational facilities, the project is embedded in a strong environmental initiative, targeting the Biosourced level 3 label and compliance with RE2020 standards, aiming for a 20% reduction in CO2 emissions by 2025. Energy production will be based on renewable energies (EnR), with a focus on a Positive Energy Building (BEPOS).

The choice of materials, such as wood frame facades, wooden post and beam structures, and wooden floors – all implemented by Savare, a subsidiary of Eiffage Construction – reflects this commitment, combining durability with minimal environmental impact.

The project's architecture demonstrates a desire to minimize urban impact. The school is envisioned as a sanctuary in the heart of nature, respecting the site's natural contours to preserve the existing landscape and encourage the growth of spontaneous vegetation.

Beyond the technical aspects, the project incorporates a significant social dimension by committing to providing a minimum of 3500 hours of professional insertion, thereby supporting local employment and contributing to the economic vitality of the region.

The delivery of this school complex is scheduled for the start of the 2027 academic year.
