Eiffage Route is carrying out rehabilitation works in Molsheim (67)

Segment Budownictwa infrastrukturalnego

As part of the improvement and renewal of its roadways, the city of Molsheim is undertaking significant rehabilitation works on a 350 m section of Saverne Street.

Since September 2023, our teams have been hard at work on this impressive project, which is expected to last until summer.

Following an initial phase of burying the dry networks carried out with the company Spie, we began the demolition work on the existing roadway and sidewalks, laid the sub-base layers in natural gravel and cement-treated gravel, resized and reprofiled the road before installing natural stone surfacing.

To restore the character of this street, lined with old buildings, half-timbered houses, and various businesses, the City of Molsheim opted for a high-quality redevelopment: the sidewalks are edged with granite kerbstones; the sidewalks and driveways are surfaced with straight-laid porphyry blocks; and the road is surfaced with granite blocks laid in arc patterns.

These works are being carried out under special conditions due to the proximity of the construction site: a main artery, located in the city center, limited space, presence of historical buildings and businesses, pedestrian traffic, etc. To minimize the inconvenience to residents, businesses, and motorists, the City and the project management decided to execute the project in 6 phases.

Thanks to the city of Molsheim, OTE Engineering, and the Gallois Curie architecture and landscape architecture firm for their trust!
